Queen of the Ball Category: Writing and Poetry I love all you poets and friends here on myspace. Such beauty abounds and the rough places are made smooth by your artistic prose. The crooked ways are made straight, those that are exalted are brought down, and those that were at naught are exalted. Me and a myspace friend were writing poetry back and forth and making such beautiful music together. My last email was never answered so I decided to just post the poem here for my friends to enjoy~ I have not felt love's caress No not like this my lovely Countess Nor yet beheld love's sweet embrace Whether warm hugs Or a kiss on the face No where No place Have I known one such as thee Thy tender charms do please me The lord of the harvest cannot take thee For I will lay my body down Redemption for the price of a crown The crown of my lady fair My queen of the ball Mistress of the dance She throws caution to the wind And takes this last chance To dance with me A pauper you see Not worthy But she loves me For what I cannot see
