Queen Jessica Category: Writing and Poetry Her name is Jessica She rides upon her white horse Ambling softly through the hordes Of her loving subjects They literally worship her For she is a good and righteous Queen Her name is Goddess Queen of the Night The Queen of darkness Her horse can fly and make music from his horn For he is a unicorn More powerful than the most powerful mages and wizards More powerful than Merlin himself Her horse protects her From people with bad intentions That would hurt her And deceive her His name is Ironwood The grand gate opens for her at her opulent castle Years in the making it is a fortress Built especially for her With all the comforts That a Queen of her caliber has become accustomed to Within her castle walls awaits a dragon Who penetrated the walls by magic When she was away Her men are asleep in their quarters The night watchmen at the towers are not enough Not enough to slay this powerful dragon With armor peircing scales Breathing fire on his prey Ironwood summons his kind The free herd of other unicorns They cannot be contained or ruled The dragon lifts his head high Arches his mighty spine As his stomach fills with air like a bagpipe He shoots forth fire towards the beautiful queen Ironwood would have preferred that his mates be at his side But this situation afforded not the time He stood up on his hind legs Queen Jessica holding on tight With her soft, beautiful, delicate, yet amazingly strong arms With his mighty horn Ironwood played a tune That neutralizes the effects of fire The fire passes quickly over Queen Jessica and Ironwood Next the mighty dragon whipped his tail around And tried to knock Queen Jessica from Ironwood Where he could more easily slay her Without the horse interfering But Ironwood anticipated his move and flew up high Jessica meanwhile was holding tight Hugging the strong neck of Ironwood She was so beautiful on that horse She had a small tatoo at the base of her spine You could see it as Ironwood lifted off The dragon flew up to meet them This time he used caution Knowing full well the cunning and wit of this horse He flew away from the Queen and her steed to get a head start This time he was mad He came flying in from the north Swooping in from altitude to gain speed As he came in he watched the unicorn closely To see if he would try to dodge him to the side Just as the dragon was getting ready to strike A most beautiful scene appeared on the horizon Coming in over the green rolling hills of Queen Jessica's kingdom Was a beautiful multi-colored herd of unicorn They too were swooping in from altitude It was a race Between the herd and the dragon Just as the dragon reached Queen Jessica The herd swooped in and pierced the serpent with their horns The dragon fell to the ground Wreathing on the ground he breathed his last The unicorns were victorious The evil serpent was vanquished Queen Jessica held a victory celebration Inviting all her subjects The wine did flow The fires did burn The beautiful and magnificent Queen Jessica was safe And all was good in the land She looked so beautiful as the fires flickered Accenting the color and beauty of her eyes All hail the Goddes Queen of the Night May she live long and prosper
