This poem is about when my son Josh was born. He came into my 
life and gave me a reason to live, he is everything to me.

Joshua

I was walking this path of life
Filled with nothing but pain and strife
Winding trail through rolling hills
Drinking booze and taking pills

 

Empty heart no reason to live
No one to share with, nothing to give
Came to a cross roads looked around
Off in the distance heard a beautiful sound

 

A little boy playing a harmonica appeared
Would this boy walk past I feared
He said his name was Joshua
He left his trail and came along
He took my hand, played me a song
Made me feel like I belong

 

We walked for miles
Shared some smiles
Hung out for a while
Joshua said can I stay with you
I said sure little boy
And I love you too

 

Now he walks by my side
Where ever I go
I'm never lonely
I have my one and only
