I write for me Category: Writing and Poetry I write for me Not for you I like to see What my mind can do I scribble it out If it pleases me I let it fly So you can see My body chemistry My mind's eye My life's experiences Everything that collectively makes me who I am Is what comes out on the artist's canvas Yet still I love you friend I wish you well Until the end My heart lies bleeding On asphalt bare The thoughts of others Who don't even care Have the power to kill Old sensitive me Because it's too damn important What you think of me So I hope you enjoy the words that I write But if not, that's quite alright You can do whatever you want Fly a kite, or take a jaunt I wish you all the best My sojourning friend For we are all on a journey Walking hand in hand For a time But then you drift And lag behind Saddening me in my mind But it's good my friends that love is blind And I have learned to be kind And to give love unconditionally No matter what you do I still love you Because no matter what You wouldn't hurt me Unless you were spiritually sick And it's not your fault But it is your responsibility We are all responsible for our own actions No matter what they may be So we have to give our problems to God And let him carry them away Lighten our burden So we can live to see another day Thank you for all your accolades and your kudos Thank you for appreciating my work Thanks for a little bit of your precious time Each new day is totally different I don't know where I'll be tomorrow What I'll be doing Who I'll be doing it with But I hope to see you my firends, somewhere down the road God bless you all and good night.
