I See In My Mind Category: Writing and Poetry Sweet images I see in my mind Like a movie screen Showing me things in space and time Like the bouncing pinball behind the glass Like the brightly colored lights And the sounds that go ding, ding, ding Like our lifes fading from the theatre of existence Like teaming new life repelling our resistence Like the things that I would, but find that I won't The things that I could, but find that I don't Like the crest of the wave that passes me by Like telling the truth mixed with a lie Hormones driving everyone in our nation Pharmaceutical drugs are the new sensation Viagra, Propecia, Manoxidil For every ailment they have a new pill Some of them don't work Some of them will Droopy shorts Too much sports Blogs, chatting, coffee houses Wireless internet Clicking the mouses Into the great void we race Blasting off into outer space Sorry I'm just not totally amazed Pressed on all sides I'm getting crazed Life has lost it's meaning for me There is no more purpose Where shall the children go To whom shall they turn They have nowhere to go Nothing to learn But I see a better way The awakening of mankind No more racing around And standing in line A poetic renaissance revival More than just mere survival Minstrel shows and one man bands Poets and mimes accross the land Spreading wisdom and good cheer Peace unto all Good will towards men Finely placed words Like Buddha and Zen Scripting their work with a stroke of the pen A lyrical utopia A poetic cornucopia A place where all can voice their soul
